  What is Digital Rupees?  When it launched ? Which Bank cover ? How can it works ? Authors :- Narendra chhatria RBI on Tuesday 1 December launched digital Retail debut on a pilot basis , in four location namely New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar. Must know about digital rupees 1- eRs- R would be in the form of digital token. 2- Digital Rupees would be issued Same denomination that paper currency and coin are currently issued. 3- Eight bank have been identified on phase wise. 4-First phase four bank have cover namely SBI, ICICI bank , yes bank, IDFC First bank in four city across the country. 5-Rest of Bank Bank of Boroda, union bank of India, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra bank will be given. 6-user will be able to transact with eRs-R through digital wallet offered by the participants bank and store on mobile phone and device. 7-transation can be both person to person, person to merchant, payment to merchant can be made using quick response (QR) Code.
